I looked at this on my boat this weekend for you, boat ran at about 70 PSI under load, so you should be good!

      Thoughts/guidance?

I did not have the problem but recall someone else having issues with the button after making the adjustment. I wish I had an answer for you but other than taking it apart again and seeing if you can depress the button without the throttle lever on, I'm not going to have anu suggestions.

      • Does anyone know the actual depth of the gas tank? I’m trying to order new sender, and depending on who you ask, I get told different part number/size to order.

For Example: 150979 (in tank currently) is 6.5” in length
150989 (possible orignal part #) is only 5.5”
150986 (another shop recommended long ago) is 9.25” in length.

Not at boat to measure myself...

        TIA

On the outside of the tank, the height of the wing (the tank has a funny shape where the sides are wings, and the sender is in one of the wings).

The wing height is 8" - any my sender (which is the 2nd or 3rd since new) since none of them have been accurate is much shorter. Mine is about 6.5 in length.

With my sender being 6.5 inches it makes sense that the gauge reports lower than what I actually have ...

I would love to have the sender reach the bottom of the wing, and by my estimates based on many fillups and looking at remaining fuel ... when the wings are empty, I would be at 1/4 tank.

Right now ... if the fuel is half way down on the wings .... then it shows 1/4 tank ... and takes about 20 gallons which is 1/2 of the advertised capacity.

Mine is exactly the same, always off by 1/4.

Yeah the weird part is the center part, where the fuel pump is ... is the deepest, yet the sender is not in there.

To me I don't mind the sender being in the Wings of the tank as long as it is closer at guessing the low fuel condition.

I don't like running low, and when I do know it is at half a tank ... I feel like I compulsively raise the center cushion.

Thank you both. Agreed on all fronts, my sender measures 6.5” to bottom of the puck. It seems like it was intentional to put it on wing, because of the low fuel messing up the pump. When I spoke to Centroid today, they said if I measured from the bottom of tank to bottom edge of lip, they could make it to exact height. Might be worth it to try and pick up a little bit more accuracy, heck, if I could even get a non-full reading at this point I’d be happy. I might enjoy my time a little more vs pulling a PS190 and constantly lifting the back seat, ha!

                • Heck, if the price is reasonable I would buy one as well.

Yours always showing full may be a different issue ... too me the short length means it drops from full too quickly,

Did I misunderstand? Does yours always show full? That would indicate something else ?

Yes, mine reads full all the time. The sender is pushing out 2.53V when it is out of the tank, and that’s not correct. So, I’m going to order the new sender.

                      • So we used our bimini for the first time since buying the boat and I noticed two zippers across the front. Anyone know what they are for? I'll try and snap a picture next time it's open but hopefully someone has some insight.

I have seen that on other models as well ... maybe to zipper up an extension to the front of it for increased coverage?

Just a guess ..... please pardon if it is an awful one

Speaking of awful .... DoubleD has not bought a beer yet today! or posted a new LED pic .... c'mon DoubleDawg!

My bimini also has zippers across the front edge. I assumed it was a Canadian thing to add a drop down windshield or something.

Checking my build sheet it says my boat came with:
                            Boat Cover w/ TWR
                            Bimini Cover w/ TWR
                            Cockpit Cover w/ TWR
                            Tonneau Cover

All I got with the boat was a standard boat cover and Bimini with a cover sleeve.
