I prefer to ski at 15 but seems like our best wake is 23 -- but I have not tried the DD with the plate yet.

Question - those that have adjustment plates ... What have you found to be best settings. For skiing at 32-34 I like 34 degrees as I think it makes the best wake. Does anyone use it for surfing?

Merry New Year
Happy New Year to all of my fellow PS 214, X14 and X14v enthusiasts and owners! Hope your New Year is complete with many glass-filled days and perfect wakes (of whatever shape).
Had to include a shot from our last trip to Banks Lake---dreaming about our return this coming June.

I haven't pulled any footers with the 14V but I have pulled A LOT with the 14 DD. The DD foots much better than a 209 and it's better than a 197 too (according to footers that are good and that I trust) Dan that used to work for us was a big time footer and won a barefoot race with a 6.0 powered 14 DD. Because the two boats are built on the same running surface I would think they would be pretty similar, the ski wakes are at least.
