Looking forward to hearing your impressions of the Ilmor compared with your previous boats. That vinyl is really nice. I was almost drooling on it at the boat show a couple of weekends ago. It has a woven texture that is very cool.

              Real nice looking boat there.

Does anyone else think that that is a coil-on-plug ignition??? If so, I would hate to have to take the exhaust risers off for a plug change.

I looked at that engine on a stand at the boat show and didn't think to check that out.

If you grabbed the manifold with one hand and shook it while videoing it with your cell phone in the other hand did the serpentine belt fall off??

Shot halfway across the room and punched a hole right through the side of a Bu.

the hole was probably already there

Hard to see if it is COP ignition or DIS from the pick... The plug wire leading away from the coil leads me to believe it may be DIS. sometimes you can sneak them buggers out because the plug boot is flexible enough but then you still have the plug to remove! Gonna need lots of universal joints to get around that manifold! Here's another shot from their website. No mention of what type of ignition system... just the ease of maintenance on the starter/alternator. Lol those need changing out much more often than the plugs hmmmm...

It's coil near plug, just like every production GM GenIII/IV engine made since 1997. The coil packs sit on top of the valve covers and there are short plug wires leading to each spark plug. Plug changes should still be very easy if you have access to the side of the engine.
