My wife is from SW FL and we love going down to Lake Placid,FL (city name) and skiing and boating on Lake June in Winter (lake name), or as called by the locals, Lake June. Her grandfather used to have a small cabin on the lake.

The first time I heard that name though, I laughed.

I don't know if our water gets to 78, even in the middle of the summer.

Those are some big cracks in the ice waterbug. When will that start pushing up to shore?

Our water is no longer solid, but I think that is because the wind speed rarely drops below 30 mph.....

Those cracks are normal. It is kind of exciting when you hear a crack coming your way and it actually goes through the hole you are fishing in. No danger, just the natural flight instinct takes over your insides and you try not to let it show.
