  • ski locker crack

    I have a 1992 prostar 205.
Well, I screwed up today. I was cleaning the boat, and I had the ski locker door open to facilitate drying. I ended up dropping a wrench that landed in the ski locker and cracked the floor of the compartment. The pint of water that was in the locker quickly drained through the crack, into a space that looks like its between the inside of the hull and the ski locker compartment. The question is, how much trouble am I in? Does anyone know where that water drains, or does it drain at all? Should I open up a hole in the ski locker to try to vacuum out as much water as possible? Can you remove the whole locker and replace it? Or, am I better off simply patching it?
    Thanks

Locker drains into bilge...if you have the MC OCD....fill it with resin... not problem...does your ski locker have a drain in the back of it? my '95 does...the ski locler became a cooler and ballast locker in later boats...

      ski locker crack

There is definitely a drain at the back of the locker. It sounds like the water that went through the crack simple reached the hull and then proceeded to the bilge. I'll have to look closer for the connection between the compartments.

Not 100% sure but I think they started the ski locker/cooler conversion in 1995. Either way it goes to the bilge.
