  • for a wintei need suggestionsr/travel cover for my tristar original one is toast

hey guys i am in need of a new travel /winter cover for my tristar 190 and was wondering what anybody has used or if anybody has any suggestions . my original one is in bad shape .
i have been getting it sewn up every year or so for a few bucks .but i think it has finally started to completely rot .

what have others used ,and what will fit . i have not set up my portable shelter yet
and the weather is getting crapy here .i cant stand looking out the window at my boat and see it sitting there getting soaked .i do have a super cheap boat cover on it but it is trashed also .

any ideas and does anybody have pics .

    cheers Jake

Get on of these to keep snow off of it...

I prefer (IMO) a good cover over a travelling cover.. Too many stories here about scuffed gel coat.

I bought a cover from skiboatcovers.com for my TriStar a couple of years ago, used their Top Gun fabric. Their site shows a price of just under $600. This is a custom cover, made from a pattern. It will fit great.

Top Gun fabric does NOT breathe, but it is absolutely, positively waterproof. You wouldn't want a cover like this in Florida, but it's not a problem in dry climates like ours. (I live in SD.) They install 2-3 vents to help the interior dry.

I made some additional supports from PVC to keep the cover arched during long winters and big snows; works great.

If you go to their website and snoop around, first under "Mastercraft" then "TriStar" you'll see a couple pictures of how the covers fit.

Have you considered having it wrapped with the plastic cover for the winter?
