I was on my friends 2013 Supreme and noticed that for ballast fill, like MC it squirts out the side when full. Then when he dumped ballast it also squirted out the side. When squirt stops its empty. Thought this was a great idea. He has no timers, computers, floats, or gauges for that matter. Just simple visual confirmation when full and when empty and nice manual on/off switches. I wish MC would make an OS line (Old School) with no computers!

That is how it worked on the 2005 X-2 (205V) I had. The ballast drains from above waterline when emptying and on overflow. When filling, it squirts out the side when full. When emptying, it squirts out the side and when it stops squirting, it's empty. No timers, no gauges. Simple.

TO the op. Yes simplicity is key. However technology is also quite cool. ( when it works). I see both sides. Having your boat dial in itself the same for every different rider is sweet. Simple pick a name and let boat react is very nice especially if you have several differen riders with varying abilities. Me personally though........I am with everyone else. Simple rocker switch. I turn it on pump stays on. I turn it off pump stays off. SIMPLE and yet effective. I have never had an issue ever with this system.CURRENT: 2008 SANTE 210 w NSS

Yeah... For me my tanks are either full or empty. So I fill on my way out to our riding area and listen for the water to vent out to know the tank is full. For the STRB sidfe I just eye ball it, run the pump for like 2 minutes to partially fill (this keeps the boat ballanced when only driver in the boat).
When filling my fat sacs, I just throw 2 pumps overboard and fill to desired level - with the tsunami pumps it only takes a few minuts to fill - super fast.Current: 2009 X-Star, Indmar 6L, 400hp, ZFT3 tower. c/w 1/9 scale R/C PWT X-Star

I agree with swat guy about the speed of using 2 Tsunami pumps per bag. My Moomba only had one pump and than sprinkler valves for filling all 3 bags so yes, it was slow. Each bag had it's own drain pump though. I didn't mind the system at all, it worked fine just a little slow for filling everything up as compared to 3 reversible pumps.2013 X-30, 6.0L with 2500lbs of ballast and 500 lbs of lead.
