Very good service. Just for that, I ordered my shower!

didn't get a response from HeaterCraft, but did my own investigation on the kick panel...
sure enough found that the vent is completely adjustable...see the attached pic, but the center round knob when turned to LEFT OPENS the heater all the way and when turned to teh RIGHT CLOSES the vent...also the vent is angled, so you can spin it in the direction you want the heat to blow, towards your feet or towards your knees...pretty cool...

Call HeaterCraft in Idaho. They make 99% of the heaters for MC. Look up their web site www.heatercraft.com.
I recently broke one of my three vents hot tubes and ordered a replacement direct from them. Great group of people to work with.

I have the same problem. I try to shove something in there to keep it open also.

Had the same issue with my 05, dealer told me that the new ones now have an o-ring between the knob and vent to create enough resistance to keep it open.

'04 heater vent
Can't think of the make as I'm sitting here at work but was wondering if anyone else has trouble with their heater vents ('04 x-10). My vent in the driver's foot area has an adjustment knob to open/shut. Unfortunately, the blower has so much zest that it forces the vent closed. Doesn't seem to be any positive engagement in the open position. For now I have an allen wrench jammed in it so my feets stay warm.Tags: None
