Curious if anyone is driving a 2014 Silverado with the new 5.3L in it? Positives/negatives about the truck?

Looking at upgrading in the next few months and this truck is on the short list along with the Tundra.

I don't have one, but I've driven one...I think it is absolutely great truck. Brand new interior is top notch and I think overall exterior looks better than the Toyota. I ordered the '15 Yukon Denali with the 6.2L, but if I could use the truck for work that is the direction I would have gone. Tundra is nice too...both would be good choices.

How did you order a 2015 Denali? I'm told I can't order one til April in Canada?

Didn't think you could order then that early. April seems about right to me.

Yeah my dealer can't even order any for the showroom yet and the Denalis are supposed to be later than the regular ones. Maybe we're later in Canada.

You are right that the orders are later for Denali...it helps to have some hook ups, this is one time working in the automotive industry has its advantages...getting to go to the front of the list. When I actually get it...I'm guessing first week in April...so maybe a month or two earlier than the normal public not a big deal really. I put deposit down in December to get first allocation builds and was told which dealers actually have allotments...very few were out there..

being in the autobody business and having had both rigs apart its my opinion that the Tundra is a better built rig . I have seen rust already on the inner structures on 2013 gm trucks

I'm sure your local dealer would order one for you if you want to. My local dealer in Dallas has the Yukon SLTs in stock now but are hoping to get the Denalis by the end of March. They've been trying to get me to trade my 2011 on a new one for about a month now and told me I could order one in early January.

The new Denali's and Escalade's are rolling around all over the metro Detroit area already (all with mfg plates)...they look good, I think they'll be a big hit. Escalade's will be more like June to take delivery. From what I understood, the dealer could only order it if they had an allotment...the allotments were given out based on whatever good 'ol boy system they have. They started full production 2 weeks ago for the Tahoe and Yukon and started delivering to dealers last Wednesday. They make 1,200 trucks a day, so if you want one you'll be able to get one no problem real soon.

Did a tundra run over your dog? Every thread you state your unsolicited hate for tundras. We get it, don't buy one and move on.
