  • WAKESURF Popular?

We just returned from a nice Memorial Weekend trip to Parker AZ.
We have put a 65hrs on the X30 this season...so I like to think we have been out a lot ...

we like to WakeSurf and mostly do that when the engine is running. Everyone is still learning, but we can ALL ride ROPELESS now with the X-30 setup...

I thought we would see more people out there WakeSurfing...? We have not seen another boat Wake Surfing without a Rope....and very few with a Rope/Learning....

It definitely draws attention from Passing Boaters, other Riders, and even those on Shore...
People have even followed us (safely) to see what we are doing....
One Family in a Tow Boat with SurfBoards actually flagged us down to ask how our Daughter was riding without a Rope pulling her... We spent a few minutes chatting with them on the river...
I shared as much as I new about it , and Ballast setups etc....

It seems people are interested....I just thought we would see more people doing it given the emphasis on the Sport in Tow Boat mfg...

oh, we did see a very nice G25 Pimped out and in Party Barge mode!!

....and Yes, ALL MC owners waved and Gave the "NOD" to each other....very cute...

There is about two other boats on our lake doing it. We also get boats pulling up safely to watch.

It is catching on in the midwest. Looks fun, wish my boat was set up more to try it. That being said, it only takes one surf boat to wreck the lake. We had one surf boat out last fall on a nice night on a local park lake. Small lake. We were sking along with another MC. Surf boat came out and would throw such wake that it wrecked the lake. It was like a tug boat moving through the water. We pulled out the tubes at that point and the other MC pulled out an air chair. The wake was so high that the novice air chair could not even ride.

This will be our third year at Parker and i too never see people wakesurfing. In all ive seen two, one ropeless and one on an old natique. Unfortuanetly our boat wont allow us to wakesurf, otherwise we would be.
Also was that g25 a blue and black one, because if so ive seen it out there plenty of times.

*** on an old natique with a rope. They were just flinging eachother off the board doing hard turns, was really fun to watch

It's harder on a small lake, that's for sure. When we surf, I try to make sure I am out in the middle of the lake away from shore and anyone else. We also make sure we do it after the ski and wakeboard runs. By then the lake is all jacked up and full of jetskiers and toobers, so it really doesn't matter much.

There are tons of wakesurfing on Center-Hill lake. It's very common to see wakesurfing on any day there.

We saw 1 other surfing (Supra) on the part of Tellico near MC plant this weekend. We were out from 800 till 400 and didn't surf till after 200 when the lake got choppy from lots of tubers. Used the early am glass to ski then wake board.Love the new X2

I don't have a problem with wake surfing on the strip, as long as they do it south of rock island

surfings not bad on the lake if you're going parallel with the shore and you don't powerturn to pick up your downed rider. The wave just goes to shore and its all over from there.

Unless any of your shoreline is seawall... Then its a mess

^^^^ I'm sure you are just kidding , and do not want me to tell my 3 Daughters that. Lol.

They/we do have WakeBoards... But it is almost always too rough to use them...

I am kidding a bit but i have a motto, "If you can do it in slacks its not a sport". eg golf , darts, walking ... wakesurfing.
