So I am out for the first time on the new boat. My firmware is one update behind. But my speedo and mph on screen are way off. Tried factory reset and to calibrate. It didn't hold on to the calibration for more then a minute. Don't think this is gps driven but can't find a speedo needle behind the boat either.

You should have a paddle wheel that operates your speedo. Look in center of boat in front of shaft.

Well I found something that looks like what you are talking about, the bad news is I crushed it with my lift:-(. Any idea how hard or expensive it will be to do?

Not sure on your model boat but a friends 2010 x-2 is is pretty easy to do. If you look at other forums here on how to replace paddle wheel there are some good instructions. That is how my buddy destroyed his paddle wheel is from the lift. My 2010 X25 paddle wheel access is located under the middle rear seat near the transmission. If I remember correctly it is more on the starboard side of the boat. Sorry I saw on your profile that you had not changed that you had a 2001 X10

On your 2012 you can plug in the Zero off antenna and be good to go. I had a 2012 with the paddle wheel and the GPS was just so much better. Plus you never have to worry about your lift again.

501 how hard and expensive. I dont have nav and it's perfect pass not zero off I would prefer to be gps!

Haha Aric I looked at a 10,11, and a 12, ended up buying the 12. If I said I bought the 11 then it was a typo. Got the 12 for same price so went newer then heard about the software issues. Kinda bummed so far, goy real comfortable with indmar and now have a ilmore. Almost wish I would have got the 10!

You can easily get a paddle wheel replacement kit from perfect pass or just about any dealer. It comes with paddle wheel , 2 o rings, and a new bar. Simple install Just use the new bar or a pointed object, and push the old bar out, put on new paddle wheel ( scoopers facing bow) Bingo I think the kit is about 25-35 bucks depending on dealer.

All you have to do is plug in the GPS antennae and it upgrades it to zero off. After that it holds speed perfect. I had to drill one small hole. The entire install took 30 minutes.

+1 on upgrading to the GPS and getting the latest software upgrade. They solved every software/perfect pass problem I had.

So I talked to the dealer they will give me the firmware update on my usb stick, they say it's a mem file not a vz file. An may not work. Again just like my x10 I get really washy answers about stuff. Also how does the usb have to formatted?
