2008 40th Anniversary Prostar 214/X14

I found a listing for a 2008 X14 yesterday on BoatTrader and though it was pretty interesting and unique. I've never seen or heard about this boat on here, so I figured I'd post it up to see if anyone had anymore info on the boat.

I never knew there was a 40th Anniversary model other than the X-Star and Prostar 197

I am pretty sure they only made the 40th in the 197 and X-Star and that this is likely a 1-off boat as the add states it was made for one of the former MC Exec's. This would certainly be worth a bit more if indeed it was the only one made.

I've put some questions out there and am waiting for a reply. Is the gel the same on the 40th as a regular switch back then? Could someone just order a black and red flake switch and add the graphics and have the seats embroidered? The observer's seat does not match those of the 40th 197's that I've seen. Just my random thoughts. Regardless it is a good looking boat. I emailed the seller as I'm thinking about getting back into a X14DD.

Not positive but I do believe you could get the gel scheme just not the badging and graphic package unless you ordered the 40th edition. That said, I would think you could get the emblems for the seats etc, as they would have had to of made extra for warranty type issues.

All of that said, not sure you can get a better looking 14DD than the one you previously had!
