H20 do you already have surf tabs or AA plate, do you need the bags included in the Gen 2 package? These are some of the variables that will determine the price. I was around $3500 but I did not require the bags and did not have surf tabs already so no glass work to fill previous holes etc..
As far as is it worth it? I say absolutely, I was not sold on it originally and now believe it is one hell of a shaping device on my X30. They say the X10 surfs excellent out of the box with Gen 2 so you may not need to play as much as I did.

Mastercraft won't sell partial sets but your dealer can if they choose. Its easy for them to sell the parts you don't use.
As far as having or not having the Gen 2 goes I was very frustrated with it initially and its definitely not as "out of the box" as MC advertises. Although I have it dialed in to my liking now and its awesome, it shapes the hell out of the wave for me and we enjoy it.

Paid $5200 for replacing Surftabs with Gen2 Tabs, glass work to fill holes, added sacs, and software upgrade. In all a pretty expensive upgrade, however, I have been very impressed with the overall performance and my other thought was that if this is where the future lies with MC in terms of tuning and software updates it seemed a good idea to get on the train early.
If you are thinking of upgrading a 2013, make sure to read this thread...

I have been looking to convert my 2013 X10 w/ surf tabs and AA plate to gen 2. I already have 750 sacks plumbed into the rear lockers but usually use portable sacs with a tsunami pump for the bow. Does anyone know what bow sac is used for X10 gen 2? Mastercraft's website says its 500 pounds additional in the bow. I saw this at wake makers but just wanted to make sure it is the one that good for gen 2:

I don't know how to relate to people's experience that say it doesn't work out of the box, because I certainly felt it did. Day one I was in the pocket and ropeless, with the default profile on mine when I got it. I have certainly played with the tab settings to change the length of the wake, but it was certainly easy to ride as is. I love that it is customizable, and super convenient.

First season, we spent 90% our time surfing as the Gen2 X10 was such a blast:
