  • 1979 Canadian maple leaf addition?

Mastercraft made Stars and Stripes boats in 1979. Does anyone know any information on this particular boat?

I've never seen one like that. The setting you found it in is perfect for a boat like that. It looks like it is in really good shape for its age.

Wow, if that's a real MC edition then it's rare! Sweet boat (if you're a canuk)

Very cool boat. I don't know anything about that boat but have saved a couple interesting images. I believe these were made for the 1979 World Championships.

Check out the fiberglass swim platform . It should have been wood back then.

If you're a Canadian and proud of it I don't think there's a cooler boat to be had!

Nah its fiber in all those pictures.

Based on that "made in canada" I would more assume that they didn't have a good local source for wood platforms and just went ahead and used a glass one.

I saw a cream/root beer flake one for sale in NY about 5 years ago. Until then I had no idea they even existed! I'm sure they did not make very many! Very cool boat!

I had only ever seen the red, and that only in pics. Pretty awesome boat.

                            Cool boat.

I would bet it has been painted.

my 77 had a factory glass platform. Allegedly it was the last 77 made
