  • BroStock 2015 - May 28-30 Lake of the Ozarks

Just received an email confirming LF BroStock is returning to Lake of the Ozarks for 2015, May 28-30!
No info on location?? Anyone know if they are returning to Captain Ron's cove or making any other changes?
    http://www.brostock.com/

Water is likely going to be a little more chilly the earlier they move it but frankly I have not seen that many IN the water during the event and water is plenty warm for wakeboarding so I say YEA!!
Also hoping with it being the week directly following Memorial Day, boat traffic may be slightly lighter?? From my experience, the week after a holiday usually experiences a little bit of a "hang over" with lower attendance.
Bad news is - not going to get much work done that week bookending Memorial Monday with BroStock Thursday and Friday

Excited they have moved the date since I host a big boat party on our primary Lake Perry the second week after Memorial (same as past BroStock).

Not to get into another LOTO too rough thread. Captain Ron's is above most of the heavy boat traffic. There are plenty of condo's in the upper numbers. Check VRBO around Spring Break, not much gets listed earlier.

My secret is a launch at the back of Linn Creek Cove which is directly across from the Big Niangua arm and Capt Ron's. I don't know the name of the campground but it is easy to get to off 54. Just check in at the office, pay the guy $5

Zoomed in Google maps. You can see the ramp then zoom out to see Ron's and Hwy 54.

For Shootout, I usually launch at PB2 (Public Beach 2) to run around all the early week activity between H Toads and the Grand Glaze arm (Dog Days and Party Cove). Then trailer up Saturday morning and head the few miles down 54 to Linn Creek Cove for an easy launch and motor for Shootout runs. One of those times when 8 miles by land = 20 miles by water.

Kinda excited about this. My birthday is Memorial Day and I always take that weekend and brostock weekend off for the ozarks. Now it will be a 9 day **** show and I couldn't be more excited. For those worried about the chop. Get there in the morning b4 heavy boat traffic and you'll be fine. Lots of 21ft wake boats durring this event.

We are at LPYM. I keep my blue MC in their storage garages. Blue toon and OtherPartyPlatform are end tied.

Nice... this may work out well to where I just skip a big lake for Memorial all together and just go to Ozarks for Brostock.

For those worried about the chop, I've had my 20 foot, low freeboard Supra on that part of the lake for Memorial weekend before. While it did take some concentration and good boat driving skills, it's doable. Just don't leave between 3 and 6, and your ride home shouldn't be horrible if you're in the upper mile markers. I'll probably stay around the 53 at my buddies place up there. Just stay sober, as you should anyway.

I have a place on the 31 right across from Lynn creek and around the bend from capt Ron's. The perfect setup for the ozarks. If anyone is interested in meeting up down there I'm game. The cabins at our place should be remodeled by then and are for rent.

...I might give this event a shot. I'm sure there will be shenanigans galore to keep everyone entertained between riders. If we go we will find a campground.
