  • Who's skied the 2015 Prostar?

Not finding any good wake pics, and just checking in to see who has experience at the end of rope. Thx for any input.

Local dealer brought a 2015 to our lake last august for us to try.The wake is great and very small even at longline and fifteen off.
Easy to keep a sraight path and really good tracking in the course. The ski racks are a great idea and love them more then CC side storage.
The Zero Off interface is well done and easy to navigate through.Acess to rear platform is easy and safe.Great boat!
The price tag was 86k CDN...

Tired of the cold and snow yet?
    Keep skiing!!!

Not that i know of.A new ratio for the transmission was talk about on Ball of spray but the dealer rep wasn't aware of it when we tried the 2015 in august.

I have a 2006 PS197 with mini tower and thanks to Paul V. at Redline in Madison I skied the Prostar last fall and was mighty impressed with boat and especially the minimal wake. If money was not a factor, I'd make the trade but since money is a factor it's hard to justify trading a "paid for" 197 for a Prostar based solely on the smaller wake, snap in carpet (I have a Labrador retriever who follows me everywhere) and no tower (just want a pure ski boat now).

Everything Andre said is spot on, especially the ZO interface. When I skied the new PS the one thing I noticed, besides the sweet wake, was the pull felt very soft.

How does the new Prostar compare to the 2013 197 wake? I am looking at a used 197 and would like to know if a new one would be a whole lot better or not.

                Thanks for the input.

The new boat has a great wake and yes it is better than the 197. Based on the prices of 13 197s being still very high you need to check this new boat out.

Plus one on looking at a generation hull.. plus new prostar is a bit roomier than a 197.

Here's the 34 MPH wake of my 2014 prostar. I feel it skis the same as the 2015. There was a change from the 1.22:1 tranny on the '14 to a 1.26:1 for '15. There is also a prop change as well.

I'll second that . The 197 is a very nice boat but I don't think it holds a candle to the new Prostar . I am surprised the almost new 197's didn't take a nose dive in value

The Wilson Brothers have tons of videos of that wake:
