There may have already been a thread on this, and I may have missed it. I bit the bullet on the better Bluetooth receiver from fusion. After install and running in my garage for a while, I have absolutely no idea why MC wouldn't use this unit instead of the BT-100....... Except on boats with sat radio. This is a major functionality step up.
Pros BT-200 over BT-100
1) Automatically pairs with your phone when the head unit powers up. (Or last paired device within range)
2) Switching to other devices is as easy as selecting them at the HU. No more getting the Bluetooth all confused when trying to pair another device. Phones get confused sometimes on other setup if another phone is, or was recently paired.
3) Changing tracks can be done at head unit, and remotes. (Not at touchscreen for some reason. Although I never use the TS.)
4) Track info shows on HU, Remotes, and touchscreen.
5) Sound Clarity is much better. (Or so it seemed to me. I have both the BT-100 and BT-200 hooked up simultaneously and kept switching back and forth between the 2 sources. I had a noticeable difference.)
Cons of BT-200
1) It uses the sat radio connection of the HU. So, if u want sat radio, you can't do both. I had sat radio in my 2010 and never used it. Never had it since. I seem to ALWAYS use my playlists or pandora on my phone.
I am leaving both units hooked up for now. I suppose there is no sense in removing the BT-100.
