For some reason, kids just love pilling on top of one another and being whipped back and forth across the wake. Mine are 18 and 21 and they still love it! Me - i can sure do without it. I do try to limit it to last run and stay away from other boats. But....pain in the A if you ask me.

You need to get on a morning schedule with me. You will be a much happier skier I promise!! Tubers don't do anything before 9am

Guilty. With three kids 11, 8, and 4, they want to tube. I got a flat, four person thing and I just do laps around the lake with ours after the lake is beat from everyone else. I don't whip them around, I don't go in circles, and I DON'T hook the thing up before skiing and boarding.

I did get all of them up on a kneeboard so far this summer, even the 4 year old. Only the 11 year old has gotten up on skis yet.

For me the tube was all about getting their confidence up with the open water and it was something they could do with their friends, therefore we could spend more time at the lake.

Agree, the tube has helped my six year old feel comfortable in the water. For her age she swims better than most adult (she has one heck of flip turn) but being in the middle of a 9700 acre lake can be daunting. Thankfully she's "mastered" tubing (her words) and is ready to ski this weekend! By the way, any pointers? I have the old kids skies that my wife learner on but I don't have trainers. Seems to me the biggest problem for kids is the strength to get the skies together.

My rule is that you have to attempt something that requires actual athletic skill (ski, wakeboard, wakeskate) before you get to ride in the tube

Training skies that tie togeather or have the bar are the best way. And if you can find it where the rope has a handle on each end where you hold it as well and allows you to tie the rope to the skies to take the pull of the boat off the skier and puts it on the skies.

Tip #1 - Slip to the dock like a Nija in the night; knife the tube and then curse the vandals in the morning when it's discovered.

Tip#2 - Make a trip to your local hardware store get 2 medium sized eye bolts, 1 double ended snap buckle to hook to the eye bolts. Drill the skis, mount the eye bolts, hook the buckle to each eye bolt on the skis - instant trainers!

Take pictures of her success - good luck!!!

Not gonna lie. I'm contemplating buying like 3 cheap single person tubes and hosting battle royales in the afternoons. Judge me.

i bought a tube last year and have pulled it on two occasions. The only reason I got it was so that we can have a cameraman sitting backwards filming the rider about 6' in front of them. makes for some good shots as the rider is flying over

Lake can be glass all day long, but the minute I begin lowering the lift and putting the Prostar in the water the tubers come out in numbers. Beginning to think they watch for me out their windows all day long!

my kids are 11 and 13, I love pulling them on the tube. I make it my personal mission in life to see just how high hard and awkward I can make them fall out.

With that said, I stay out of the coves and away from anyone with a stick on their feet when I can. Of course when we are skiing others don't follow the same etiquette, and that's really what its all about. Common courtesy.
