Replacement tower speakers

I have a 2008 X2 with stock tower speakers with lights. Is there a "worthwile" speaker replacement? I'd like to keep the cans with lights, but the speakers seem just ok. Thoughts?

Are they OEM JL 7.7's? If so, in what way are they just OK? Are you looking for an HLCD that will project to a wake boarder 80ft back?

Best cost effective upgrade is to give the current speakers more power with an upgraded amp. Makes a huge difference.

Your speakers are good (if they're the JL's), they're just underpowered. Get a good amp on them and re-evaluate. If they're clarions, just replace them.
