Rubbish! Weight loss in almost all cases is calories/kilojoules ' in ' being less than 'out.'.
You can eat or drink whatever you want so long as you burn more. How you burn is relevant (ie energy source - fat or carbohydrate) but generally if you train in a way that burns more than you put in then you will end up losing weight (putting on muscle is seperate discussion in terms of weight hence the 'generally' statement). I can and do drink a heap of piss but so long as I'm training 'long' (low intensity and high volume) my weight drops. The distinction is most people wont put in the work to properly burn what they put in. You gotta suffer for your pleasure

I know how it works. I only have enough time to burn about 700 calories per day with exercise and I eat a very clean diet and do put my time in exercising. Cutting the booze helps a bunch.

Less couch time for sure. Stay more active than last winter and hopefully catch up on projects that I am hoping to get to.

            Eliptical and some weight training.

Have a good off-season soccer agenda planned for 2 kiddos so that will help alot.

Post your progress boys and girls. I am OK with my progress. I have had some small amounts of beer and wine as of late for certain parties but I am measuring every one on MyFitnessPal and that helps. Hope you are all winning the battle too.

Ok, I'll play. Weighed about 223+. Now I weigh in at 183. I've been holding pretty steady at 183 for a while - time to knock off a few more.

I know how hard that is. I occasionally travel for work. Going out to eat with the company footing the bill, it is very hard to resist temptation. Recently had beer cheese soup on my last trip. Came home and looked up the recipe - OMG - can't be eating that but every blue moon.

Well I have a whole new set of goals for next year. I am having rotator cuff surgery on the 17th. I had it done 10 years ago, but I was 53 then. I am hoping for skiing on Memorial Day weekend? So wish me luck.

Luck your way. Better yet, don't count on luck, count on PT done correctly.
