Has anyone posted any setups for their X23s with the surf wave dialed in? I didn't really find anything in my search.

X23 Surf Wave Dialed?
I have found that with the stock setting the wave is pretty solid out of the box. The biggest thing with GEN2 is being in water deeper than 15ft. If you can manage to be in deeper water than you will always have an incredible wave. I have added some weight to the front of the boat and that really adds length to the wave. But I haven't found the need to add more fat sacs. I just go to the deeper part of the river and the wave is awesome.
This is my wife with the surf right mellow setting and three people in the boat.
And this is a friend of mine with the surf left steep setting with the same amount in the boat.

We put 150 hours on our X23 last summer and tried to adjust everything we could think of. I totally agree with the other posts about depth of the water you are in. At the end of the day here is what we found worked best for us. By the way we normally have 2-3 adults and 3-4 kids on the boat. We always try to have some of the people in the bow but we did not find that the X23 liked bow weight as much as our 2013 X30.
We have added some steel bags to our stock set up (using 500lbs total by spreading out 10 bags that each weigh 50lbs). Here is how I have distributed them:
- 1 50lb bag under each rear locker pnp bag (100lbs total in the rear lockers combined)
- 100lbs in the bow under the seats
- 150 lbs under the tower footing on starboard side locker behind the cooler.
- 200 lbs under the tower footing on port side (little extra weight to counter the driver)
In talking to other X23 owners and our dealer the X23 likes more weight under its center of gravity which is where the tower footings are. I have tried many other locations and have determined that under the tower footing is ideal for most of our bags.
I have also changed some of the factory settings to create longer and cleaner waves for the port and starboard side. I found more center tab helped the starboard side and going a little faster helped the port side in general. For the most part I rarely use the factory settings other than the surf L/R Steep.
I have attached some pics, but they don't do the wave justice.

I agree, deep water is good and so is flat water. Not a 23 but with deep and flat water and only 2 people in the boat I still get a good wake.

The biggest thing about the x23 wave is the amount of push. I had a hard time teaching people how to surf on other boats. This summer I had people surfing and enjoying it within in 1-2 try's.
