    Congrats on the new boat.

11 years ago I bought a brand new Maristar210 with a tower. Believe it or not I paid $50,000 OTD with the trailer. The first time we put it in the water I hit a stump. Ripped up the prop, strut & prop shaft. The boat had .2 hours on it when this happened so I feel your pain.

Congrats. You cant go wrong with the X-30! We are at Smith also, currently have a 30 and a 23 on order. You hit the nail on the head, no longer is it a frustration for the kids of all ages to spend family time. They cherish it with a mastercraft and lakehouse. Every weekend is a vacation and you are never short on willing participants. Enjoy the boat and the family!

Congrats on the first weekend out! Your story sounds a lot like mine. I've wanted a boat for many years now and even had my financial advisor work it into my financial/retirement plan. Anyway, knew I wanted a water sports boat and had my heart set on a MasterCraft since I was lucky enough to ski behind one as a kid (friends dad had one). I was looking used all year last year, then got a deal on a demo 2015 X2 from my local dealer. I bought the boat in late October, so I already have 5 payments on it, but I live in Michigan, so haven't gotten it out yet - delivery/demo day is May 16th, so I'm really getting excited. (I think my wife and daughter are getting sick of hearing me talk about it - they'll change their tune when we're on the water!)

Same as you - I've learned so much from everyone on this forum over the last year or so, someday I'll be able to contribute some advice and wisdom of my own.

Can't wait to enjoy boating with my family - looks like your family is all in!

Honestly I would ask the dealer if they would fix, especially if they didn't mention having the racks folded in.

Congratulations on the boat, especially as its an x30. They are an awesome boat and yours looks sweet. Plenty of people on here are passionate about their 30's, as with every model and with good reason. You are in for an awesome summer.

Thanks for all the replies. I can't wait for the water to warm up some. The surf wave looked like it's going to be a lot of fun....

If there is one design issue that really bugs me it is that you will tear up your gelcoat if you forget to fold in the racks. I came so close to nipping the gel so many times that I ended up getting some gray gator step to put on the gunnel. They gave me a few remnant pieces for free actually! Really good company!

You may want to look in to that. It would cover up the "flesh wounds" as well.

That's a good idea about the gator step. I will check it out...
I agree I wish the handles wound not disengage when the racks are out and the tower is up.
Options wise...advanced audio (I'll add some tower speakers later), motor is a 5.7 (I agonized over this one but I didn't order the boat and that's what it already had. I think it going to be good.) , shorty windshield, rear facing seat, fins, it had the smaller touch screen which I was good with (a big reason why I picked a mastercraft was the fact that if your screen went out it would not ruin your day). The dealer added a custom color on the hull. That's about all I can remember...
