  • Why is one so much more

Just browsing on Martin Motorsports website and there are 2 x30's for sale. Both are 2008 one has 296 hours and the other has 378 hours and both have the 6.0L engines. The one with 296 hours is for sale for 70k CAD and the one with 378 is for sale for 73K CAD. Why do they vary in price by so much?

The one selling for 73 looks like a much more expensive boat. Better colors, and better cared for too.

I don't love the color combo on the more expensive one. Fwiw I bought my 08 X30 A few months ago for $48k USD with around 200 hours on it.
        08 X30 - deader than dead...and crispy.

Really don't like the colors on the gold/silver/tan boat. You're right in they do seem very similarly equipped. Hard to say from the pictures if there is vinyl issues on the red/black boat but that would be my guess in the difference. If the vinyl was in good shape and everything else checked out that would be my choice. For the most part it looks to me like it just needs some cleaning and a little work on the swim platform.

Is $3k - or less than 5% - really a big variation in price ?

I agree that the 73k one looks better cared for and more expensive even though not to my taste.

You're lucky to be able to compare - when I bought mine it was the only one I could find for sale in the whole of Europe !

Who lists a boat as a marine dealer with a dirty interior? The boat, trailer and tires are also filthy. LAZZZZZEEEEEEE

I agree with Alistair. For a used boat in this price range, this is a very small price variation. An option or two could easily make up the difference.

I don't know that 3k would be considered a huge variation by any standards. Condition straight from the pics would change things as would color combos. I can easily see a 3 k color variation in boats on the used market alone.

I thought it strange pricing also when I saw it. The Rd one is a better interior colour and has more hours. Same engine. I would guess that it's condition of interior and gel coat accounting for the difference. which is hard to tell from just pictures. I would go look in person or even a call to them and they might be willing to share why they are priced like that. I bet that final price after negotiating is about the same though.

Not buying any because I just got an 08 x30 but I was just wondering why they vary.

One other thing as mentioned one could be a consignment boat one may not. Thus it's owner may need bit more out of it.
