I'm gonna go ahead and say that I doubt this is the case....... 50th or not..... I think they are not making any 3rd gen stars for 2018. Maybe a 4th gen, but nothing is known on that yet.

I think it did come up when you pulled up the build a boat for the xstar. Now it's not even available to build.

2018 models just became available to order, and MC immediately states that 2018 Xstar production slots are currently sold out. So... sold out for how long? The Xstar has the lowest number of orders next to the Prostar, and they are sold out?
I'm sure if someone were to try and order an Xstar now, they would probably be told late fall, early winter - after a potential new model is released, but thats speculation.

I just hope its good enough to shut people up about the Gs.
To get people to shut up, someone needs to make a boat better than the G, and they really haven't. The X23 is a great surf boat though, and I think the M235 was kind of a flop. Supra has a new boat in the works that is supposed to be pretty sweet. Probably released soon.

I understand what you are saying, but I have never heard "we are unable to take orders at this time because there are no future production slots" unless that model is getting dropped. I have ran into production slots that are 4-5 months out, but not "sold out" unless the manufacturer decides not to make many, like the 2017 Nautique 200.
Maybe it's just different understanding of the terminology - so does MCs "sold out" mean they have already taken so many 2018 Xstar orders that I couldnt even get one for next spring?
Doubtful. I'd put money on this current model being discontinued.

I've heard something is coming at Surf Expo mid september but didn't get any other details.
