  • Tower T-Handle Help!!

    2006 Mastercraft X2 Zeroflex Tower

Does anyone know where/how I can get a replacement T-Handle (the one you pull to allow the board rack to spin) for my tower??
The dealer wants $172.99 for the entire T-Handle assembly.

I'd just like the plastic T portion

    Thank you!!!

The T handle is Anodized aluminum if I am not mistaken. I had a broken assembly at the beginning of this year. I contacted GereMarie, they make the aluminum components on the boats, and I was able to order the exact pieces I needed from the assembly and I put it back together myself.

          This.
There is a spring loaded, shouldered pin in there that threads into the handle.
It's held in the tower with the small allen set screw.
          Remove, disassemble, new pin, reinstall.
Screws fall out all the time, the world is an imperfect place.

Exactly! But how do i get just the new plastic handle (the old is at the bottom of the lake) without ordering the entire assembly?

In my first post...the T handle is aluminum and contact GereMarie, they make all of the aluminum components on the boats. They will sell individual parts.

Were you able to order a handle? I just need the inner workings.

Neil, did I send you a pin? How did it work?
It seems a lot of guys are looking for them, I did have a buddy at work make me a few, but I have passed them on to a few guys from here.
I will ask if he can make a few and see what the cost would be....

Yes, I thank you every time I use it! Easy fix people, takes less than 30 minutes to repair. Reuse the handle, spring and threaded bushing.

Slight threadjack but think you guys can help: I sucked it up and bought the new t-handle assembly. It comes fully assembled. How do I install it into the tower? Am I supposed to grab the pin with channel locks and unscrew the t-handle itself, then screw in the assembly without the t on it, then screw the t back onto it?
When my old one broke, it broke real good =) The pin inside stayed and the T sheared off at the threads that screw into the tower. From your pics above it looks like the T is actually threaded on too and can be unscrewed...
boats rock, but don't rock the boat
