  • 2006 Tower Needed x-45

I've got a cracked tower that I had welded and that weld has failed. It's the 2005-06 tower. I only need the top part that holds the speakers. Any directions on where I can find one or if any body know a good welder in the Tacoma/Seattle area that might want to look to see if he can repair the last poor weld.
    Andy help would be great!

There is a guy out in Woodinville that does TIG welding and has welded by 2005 tower twice. None of his welds have cracked. Other factory welds have. His name is Tony Morehouse (206) 819-8584.

    Give him a call.

      Boy more ****ty welds.

Let me look on my welding forum. I know a guy who welds boats for a living (in that area). I will see where he's from. I can also throw out a thread on the forum if you can't find anyone.

Hey! Just so you know to tell the next guy welding on your tower (hopefully he knows this already). Make sure to tell him it's anodized, also I'm not sure what type of alum it is but it does matter, so they can blend better. The temper state is an issue also. Most likely it T-6 4043 alum, which can crack if you don't anneal it before welding (which you can't do, because it would have to go in a big oven). Also try a Harley shop and or marina in that area. Just make sure the guy know how to fix it the right way. Good luck and I will let you know if I hear anything.

It looks like the 2005 MariStar 245 I'm buying already has a crack in the tower. Anyone know a good welder either in Long Island NY or southern Maryland? I'm still waiting for a new trailer to be built before I can haul the boat home from NY.
