  • Need Help from a late model X10 owner

Hi yall. I have two questions for a late model X10 owner if you have a moment.

    1. I am considering the purchase of a 2015 X10, and I need to know the full length of the boat on the trailer please. Can anyone measure this boat on the trailer for me in the near future?

    2. Can boats with the Gen 2 surf tabs lower their swim platform to conserve garage space? If so, how much room does this save in actual inches? Does anyone know? I have never owned a boat with surf tabs, so this would be new to me.

    Thanks much!

I don't have an x10, but I have to disconnect tabs and put swim platform down to fit an x23 in a 25' garage. It's a bit of a pain but only takes a few moments. I think it saves at least a foot. Sorry I know asked about an x10

This is actually great info. Thanks so much. To be honest, I wasn't even sure if it was possible to lay down a swim platform with the Gen 2 tabs. I guess it makes sense that you could pull the pins on the tabs though. Much appreciated.

You can definitely fold down the Gen 2 tabs and centre plate, just have to remove the pins. If you don’t have FAE you can drop the platform down fully in the vertical position which would give you a couple of feet?? What size area do you need to get it into. My X10 lives in a 24.5’ shed over winter with the platform in the normal position and the swing tongue swung perpendicular to the trailer.

Excellent! Thanks again! My garage is 26.5 ft long, with a 9-foot door and 11 feet ceilings. I really appreciate you getting back to me. Very helpful.

'15 X10 with tongue folded to end of swim platform is 24' 5" as measured in my driveway this AM.

End of Gen 2 tab to end of swim platform is roughly 15" so could be helpful to remove platform.

This is how the platform folds on my 14 X2. Pull the pins on surf tabs ( don't loose the spacer washers.). Lower the tabs and put the pin back in the correct hole. Fold the platform down against the center tab. Saves almost 2 feet. Do it every time we come back from the lake before backing in the garage, Takes 2 minutes tops.

Thanks for the pics. I just wasn't sure if this was even possible, but the extra two feet will be much appreciated.

Now, of anyone wants to but an X14V, please let me know! Thanks!
