X2 MasterCraft replacement Decals

I am in the process of refurbing a 2007 X2 that I bought in the fall. Some of you may have seen this boat in another thread... it somewhat resembled a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle color scheme and I'm in the process of trying to take it back to factory original.

This is all being done at Top Performance Marine near Knoxville, TN. They have been great to try and fix the "awful" prep job that was done on the boat before the wrap went on. You can see in the photos that the sanding that was done made this a lot more work!

Anyway, I want to try and find some decals. Does anyone have any ideas or possibly any leads on where I could locate some decals? If so, I would greatly appreciate your help!

I will post a few photos below of the process thus far. I will also post a stock photo of what the boat looked like from the factory back in 2007.

Great Lakes skipper typically sells the OEM decals.

Depending on the color they have the bullseye and some others.

This is going to look great. I think domed numbers can make the decals if MC doesn't have any in stock. But I'm pretty sure you have to order them through a dealer either way.

Great progress so far....you’ll end up with a great boat at a sweet price.

With great lakes skipper you may have to try to search a couple times with and without dashes. They are inconsistent with model numbers in their listings

That will look great when you're done! As others have said, Great Lakes Skipper is absolutely where I would start, but there have also been a few discontinued graphics that I have found from MidWest MasterCraft over the years as well. Give them a call if you can't find what you need because their website is sometimes inconsistent when it comes to inventory of decals and what they are able to order.

Troy, The short answer is that I'm not even sure yet.

The long answer is, I think I'll be in this north of $40k when I am done.

Which is not the direction I had planed on initially.

When I was shopping for boats, I found there to be a big difference in boats for sale in the low $30k's and the low $40k's. I really wanted to be in the low $30k's but never found anything that I loved. However, I found this boat and thought I could give it a shot. Who knew that the wrap was hiding so many unsightly blemishes.

I could have done a less expensive interior and another wrap and had just over $30k into the boat. But that isn't really what I wanted in a boat.

So I have started this more in depth process. But this way I am getting to select things how I want them to be... almost like a new boat, but without the 6 figure cost associated.

I'm trying to take the approach of enjoying the journey and hopefully enjoying the boat vs. dreading all the things that need to be fixed.

It's even crossed my mind that after we spend a summer on it, GSA might be worth another $4k next fall.

Seriously, it looks like your boat will be amazing when done and I'd even have a hard time putting the vinyl decals back on the new shiny gelcoat. This is why many used boat shoppers are afraid of a wrap. Kuddos to you for fixing it properly and keep posting pics. Blue boats are the best.
