Another solution is to just make all the red the same whether its viper red or red flake. Stop trying to save money on color!

This is the X46 that I saw to make me question my choice then when I saw the two gel coat samples I went a different route.

          That’s actually not bad.

This is an example from another thread 2018 XStar using all protour red

The OP wants to use a lot flake and some non flake colors. The flake red and non flake red are different shades.

My X23 is pro tour red as well.

Its not about being cheap,Personally, I would go all flake (even wish they had a yellow flake). However, MC doesn't give that option for the hull bottom and top deck 1. There are only solid colors.

Sorry, I didn’t mean to accuse you of trying to save money or be cheap, it was probably me just projecting my cheapness on the situation.

Dave has more experience with the reds. I just have a few red accents on mine.

That's exactly what I was looking for Dave . Great pics of the different colors. Actually started a new thread on that hoping to see it.

Not red hull and red deck, but another option for you. If you want a lot of flake the black mica and red scarlet is the way to go. This is third boat with black hull, not that hard to keep clean.

Sure is pretty, but I had a black Malibu and the black was a "challenge".

Black is a challenge I don't care what anyone tells you. Pro Tour red has been a lot better than black imo.

I have a red 45 and love the Pro Tour red....only thing better is the fire red flake. Easy to keep clean and doesn't show water spots but we don't have hard water around here.

My personal choice would be number 2. I like white hulls.
