  • X25 wake

    Hello,

I bought a 2016 X25 late last year and we are trying to dial in the wakeboard wake and surf wake as well. I normally have 5 to 8 people in the boat while wakeboarding. My sons 15 and is a above average wakeboard and like a larger wake.

    I’m coming from a 2008 X1.

Also, I have heard that adding some lead to the front of the boat would be a good thing.

Is there a good place to buy lead?

    Thank you for the help.

I received loads of great help for my X25 surf wave through this forum. We never really wakeboarded so can't help you there.

This was a good place to start for me:

Start with stock ballast full, no bags, for wakeboarding and see what the crew things. More ballast is always better but stock on this boat is very impressive and eight people will only add to the weight. Additional weight in the back will make the wake more vertical and additional weight in the front will be necessary

I haven’t had a lot of luck using Gen1 tabs and normally list it. From what I remember Gen2 on this hull still prefers a little bit of a list, so you may have to drain some weight from the back corners or shift your crew around.

Change the prop from stock too. I got the Acme recommended on the Wakemakers.com prop guide. The X25 will come out of the water much faster when starting. Makes surfing and wakeboarding better.
