2018 Small screen tab resetting to stock profile
I've been trying to optimize wave on new X20 with small screen. Spent all last week with my wife driving trying dif settings. Yesterday when I finally got to drive for someone else I realized tabs were retuning to stock settings as we excellerated. No wonder I couldn't improve on the stock settings.

This isn't normal right? Manual tab adjustment should override software?

Am I doing something wrong? If I readjust after we are going seems to not reset. (which is how I will likely deal with it unless anyone has a better idea)

Stock wave is great with speed bumped up so not too big a deal. Just don't like tab doing any auto adjusting.

My auto launch also has some issues that dealer hasn't figured out yet. Maybe related?

Yeah it's off, but it kinda behaves like the way auto launch adjust tabs.

Not positive on the 18's, but with the 2015-2017's the adjusted settings will reset to the profile settings after each restart. In other words, the adjustments will need to be made each time you start....

Yes I was aware of that right away. Tabs go to 0 if you turn off engine, even though profile is still selected. Have to select it twice (turn off turn on) to reset. That is a bit irritating but worth it to turn off engine between runs. Had originally thought that system was resetting back to stock after run (leaving engine running) until I saw it changing as I put down throttle.

So if you change the default surf setting (say increase speed to 11.1 and change center tab to 30%) will those settings stay after a rider falls, you pick him up and start over again? Or will it reset to the profile settings?

If it acts like any of the nxt software it will stay with the selected tabs but once you go in reverse or turn the boat 100% off it resets everything to 0. However the GPS should stay for the last speed you were riding at.

Speed changes are saved even when engine is turned off. (which is nice) If I change center tab to 30% before a run, when I start accelerating it will drop back to stock setting as I'm getting up to surf speed. I did try resetting tab to 30% during run and it seemed to stay, but person I was pulling kept falling so not positive. Setting tabs during run is an option but wife is already driving, spotting, and providing invaluable life instruction so it would help if the thing just worked!

No setting reverts back. I thought it was just doing it at end of run until I watched tabs during run.

Hard to get pictures that show how good this wave is but board is in middle of face and my knees are at top. Also short video attached which shows how thick and powerful it is.

Hard not to love this boat even when stuff doesn't work. Sounds like this may be a unique problem that hopefully dealer will figure out at end of season.

Are you changing your settings using the TS, or the manual switches?

Manual switches. Small screen doesn't have touch tab controls.

According to dealer: When accelerating the system always reverts to selected profile. Making changes to profiles has to happen after boat is up to speed. When decelerating system also reverts to selected profile. Not sure if this only true for 2018 or all small screens? Is this common knowledge? Seems like something that owners would like to know!

He suggested using manual mode (no profile) to set speed and tabs. It won't reset unless you turn off engine.

Hope to hear from other small screen owners. Should have picked a better name for this post.
