On a side note, I wish that MC would change the way the software worked. I think that when a user tweaks the profile it should remember that setting (and not reset) unless the user hits a reset button. This is how the Nautique software works. It just shows a flag on the screen saying you have modified the profile. Adding this code to the software would make the small screen much more functional.
Now that I've figured the small screen out I like how it is set-up. If I am towing someone and want to tweak shape I use a stock setting and make changes during run. That way I can see effect as I adjust. The fact that is goes back to stock after run is not a bad starting point for comparison. Stock settings on my boat are really nice with speed bumped up. If I have a custom setting I want to use, I just manually set it before getting in water (motor needs to be running). Setting will stay as long as engine is on. I don't have to worry about it until I'm back in boat.

This was a frustrating issue until until I learned how it worked. Knowledge = happiness.

According to dealer: When accelerating the system always reverts to selected profile. Making changes to profiles has to happen after boat is up to speed. When decelerating system also reverts to selected profile. Not sure if this only true for 2018 or all small screens? Is this common knowledge? Seems like something that owners would like to know!

He suggested using manual mode (no profile) to set speed and tabs. It won't reset unless you turn off engine.

Hope to hear from other small screen owners. Should have picked a better name for this post.

I had noticed on my 18 with dual screen, that if I changed it with the manual switches, it would default back to profile settings. However, if I used the screen to modify from profile settings, it would keep the manually entered settings until the profile is deactivated.

Was hoping that would help you, but I didn't realize you had the small screen.
Interesting. It would seem like manual system has same behavior regardless of screen.

I would guess that Touch screen changes are held in memory so you can save them. Small screen no saving = no memory.

Hard to get pictures that show how good this wave is but board is in middle of face and my knees are at top. Also short video attached which shows how thick and powerful it is.

Hard not to love this boat even when stuff doesn't work. Sounds like this may be a unique problem that hopefully dealer will figure out at end of season.

No setting reverts back. I thought it was just doing it at end of run until I watched tabs during run.

Speed changes are saved even when engine is turned off. (which is nice) If I change center tab to 30% before a run, when I start accelerating it will drop back to stock setting as I'm getting up to surf speed. I did try resetting tab to 30% during run and it seemed to stay, but person I was pulling kept falling so not positive. Setting tabs during run is an option but wife is already driving, spotting, and providing invaluable life instruction so it would help if the thing just worked!

If it acts like any of the nxt software it will stay with the selected tabs but once you go in reverse or turn the boat 100% off it resets everything to 0. However the GPS should stay for the last speed you were riding at.

Yes I was aware of that right away. Tabs go to 0 if you turn off engine, even though profile is still selected. Have to select it twice (turn off turn on) to reset. That is a bit irritating but worth it to turn off engine between runs. Had originally thought that system was resetting back to stock after run (leaving engine running) until I saw it changing as I put down throttle.
