Feels like the biggest difference between the new X24 and XStar are the rear loungers?

Note on the Star, there was still copious storage above hard tanks and bags, so as noted you would only be giving up some extra rear storage, or extra rear bags if either are your priority.

Would it be wise to order X24 without rear loungers? I'm thinking resale. I have X23 (coming from X30) and I completely agree with having rear storage over those seats. Would bags be different if ordered without loungers? Kids don't like them either, that's where they jump from into the water.

For me, it’s not the storage amount. I always have plenty of that. It’s the location of the storage.
one thing I liked in the G21 was the Giant wide open Rear lockers , I could actually fit my surfBoards in one of them.

However even in my X20 I have plenty of Storage , as the X20 does not have/need bags in those lockers, but Im not sure if I could fit l Skateboard in either locker, they do hold fenders, lines and our deflated Tube.

At this point we don’t even consider a boat unless it has loungers.... like A/C on a vehicle, no A/C not interested. Today I got three option X22,X24 and X26 all others look great but wouldn’t do it because of the rear seats.

I wonder how much different the hull of the x22, xstar and x24 are?

There isn’t any reason why you couldn’t have rear lounge seats and storage compartments...... it would have just required some more creative engineering on the hard tanks to get the full 4300 in the boat without bags.

No argument on the rear loungers here. I’ve had them. They are nice.

Edit: Realized this suggestion was bad idea.

    Problem solved, lol.

I agree with the musical chairs thing. With the XStar fast fill ballast we find ourselves changing from surfing to wakeboarding back to surfing more often. We put pull ropes, dock tie ropes and bouys in starboard rear locker, lifejackets in port side rear. So nice to not have to get people up constantly to grab ropes etc from under the seats. The rear lockers are our most used storage areas, only thing more convenient would be if the underside of the Bimini would get some zipper pockets for ropes. I do want to get a few appropriately sized rubbermaid containers to keep tie ropes separate from wakeboard ropes from surf ropes etc, we always strap each but they still become a mess.

I really like the seadeck walk over and transom seats on x22/x24 vs the XStar but some storage in those rear is important. Steel hardware for my transom seats are hard on the feet and worse on the shins.

Hard to believe there isn’t a way to put a false floor in there. Anyone have pictures looking into rears of x24?

    You should patent that design.

I just don’t get what you could possibly need on the boat. I’ve got 5 watersports vests, 8 orange vests, 4 huge floating diapers, wake and surf ropes, 2 750 pound fat fat sacks, 1 300# walkway bag, a fatsac pump, 2 batteries and a battery charger all in the two coffin storages in the cabin of the X30. The observers storage is filled with subwoofers and amps, there is nothing in the front, there is an anchor in the anchor storage, and nothing in my rear lockers but the 1100s. Not to mention, I still have room for peoples crap.

Complaining about rear bags is a little odd to me. Like what the hell else do you need on a boat for a day trip? A grill, a bed, I mean come on. Sounds like some of you need pontoon boats. Lol

Pretty sure he just meant that there is a ton of other boats out there that compete performance wise.....
