That video was definitely not aimed at an older age demographic. I thought the whole series was fantastic

Absolutely agree. It was a great pre-release hype video series because by the end of it I had my checkbook out and calling my dealer. Great marketing.

        • Loved all the videos as well. MasterCraft hit the mark with me.

What do you feel the video was missing? I thought it was great they showed off everything the boat does plus brought current owners on it to get first hand experience and feedback to compare to their current model.

            • I used to do a lot of promotional stuff with the factory when I was in college. They found out it basically was the teenage kids telling their parents what $100K boat to buy. They also figured out when they sent out their after purchase questionnaire, the teenage kids were the ones filling out the paperwork.

So if you are asking if Mastercraft is marketing to 12 years, Yes they are.

I wouldn't of believed this a couple years ago, but I've seen it first hand a couple times now. Dad's want a new boat but let the kids pick it out and everything, must help with getting it approved by the boss.

                • I could have used this important information back when I was 12.

Had to get in touch with a rep this morning who is also saying 30" but he is still going to confirm it. My dealer must have just looked at the website?

                        Lol, right?

But it’s true I think. Not for my kids. They don’t have a say in things like this unless they are mowing a lot more lawns than they currently are!
But went to some friends house last weekend. They Just bought a house on a lake and an older Bu V Drive. The 12y/0 surfs like a madman. Dad thinks he can but we went out boat threw a beautiful wave and he couldn’t really tossthe rope, cause this is his first year surfing, lol.
He knows jack about boats but of course wants to upgrade. The 12 y/o has been researching tirelessly. Kid probably talked to me for a half hour about wake boats because I was the only person he’s met who speaks “boat.”
This guy will totally buy what his 12 y/o reccomends.

                        • The first dozen pages of the 2018 MC brochure don't contain any pictures that include a boat either. I think they are selling experiences more than a boat.

                          • While I do like the videos I do think a more in depth product overview would be beneficial. MC's tend to be short and high level where as Nautique does about a 20 minute walkthrough on the G's.

Agree. When we bought ours, the MC video hooked us on the "life", but it was all the various dealer and boat magazine videos that gave the real details about the boat.
