  • Need some info X10/X25

Ok, Have not had a chance to see these in person and have not been seeing allot of preowned X25's but have come across a few X10's Looking model year 13 or later to avoid the murph screens.

With that being said. Looking at specs they are close in size beam etc. I love the extra room you get with the pickle. With that being said, are there some features that one will offer better than the other. I did read the 25 rides better in rough water, and the 10 is not as finicky to setup to surf. We are coming from a Prostar so either wake is going to be great for wakeboarding. I can do a few inverts on the PS with a about 500lbs of ballest.

Our main goal is more room, better wakeboarding wake, Surf, and a nicer ride, as the PS gets the crap beat out of you on some of the lakes. I was even contemplating an X14V but not sure it gets us into surfing. Well any advice would be appreciated. Hopefully I'll get a chance to drive one or 2 in the near future or next season.

Go with the 2014 or newer so it has Gen2 surf. We absolutely loved our X25. Great boats and only finicky on surf until you figure out your weight and configuration settings.

I went from a LT1 Prostar 190 to a 2011 X25 that was just over my budget with no regrets. Rough water ride between the prostar and the 25 is night and day. Lake Austin can turn into a washing machine on the weekends and it handles it with no issues. Full center ballast and center tab at 40, cruise the lake at 18mph and never get smacked around.

Wakeboard wake with just the tanks full is more than enough for me and wake looks great around 21.5-22.5 which is where we ride. Add ballast and it keeps getting biggger.

Surf regular is easy to setup with a suck gate and two 800s in the back. Or you can put all the weight on one side and list it. I do struggle with goofy but we don’t have a lot of riders to help me sort it out. Gen1 helps but it’s not great. These boats go for a lot less then the gen2 boats and adding GSA is not expensive and my off season project.

I use the flip seats a lot more than I thought I would and cant see myself purchasing a boat without them. Hope this helps!

Have owned a 12-X25 and then 13+14 X-10's. X-25 is a great wakeboarding machine,, but "in my opinion" X-10 is a much better all-around boat. X-10 definitely better to "drive around".

I went there the same thing last year, however we are a 70% wakeboard and 30% surf wake. I love the X25 for wake boarding.

I pulled my 16 year old behind both boat before we decide on the boat which I would recommen if you can.

I do think the X10 may be a little better around boat however if you are really going to wakeboard a bunch and surf some the I would go with the X25.

Really comes down to how u are going to use the bot

If you are WB focused and value the higher/dryer freeboard, then go X25.

If you still want to ski get the X10. The X10 also surfs as well as most boats with the 820 bags.

I've got an x25 priced to sell, analog gauges so no software issues to worry about. Well below blue book, needs a new home. ; )

The X14V really does not get you into surfing (my last boat) without a lot of finicky things to address. The X10 (my current boat) surfs like a dream and it is a much better crossover than the X14V ever was in my opinion. Better surf by far, easy to set up, and a softer but slightly taller slalom wake suitable for occasional recreation runs. Super happy with the purchase.

Would love to hear about your analog setup. Did you replace the BIG display?

No, in 2011 the big display became optional

As Aric said, it was an option. Came with the analog when I bought it at TX MC. We liked it because there were no software issues and updates to deal with. And I just run all the surf tabs and ballast with the factory switches.

Some '13s have Gen 2 as well.
