Bike Rack Options while towing boat

What if you took a moving blanket and sewed it in half to make a big “pocket”. Then throw bike in it and put in boat? I would think you could use the tower bases and bungees or ratchet straps to secure.
Rain would be issue, unless you tow w cover on.

After many years of abuse the sticker called it quits about a year ago. Some of the best trail riding I ever did was up in Colorado, gorgeous country.

Get an old comforter and drape it over your tail gate and hang the front of the bikes over. A bike rack company actually started make these with straps.

I think the best option is going to be the front mounted trailer hitch for me actually. I don't like the idea of having to hoist the bikes on top of the roof and I cannot put them in the boat because that's where we put all of our boards. We pack everything else in the back of the truck.

I made a 2x4 mount for my bikes.

This picture is not mine i jsut googles it. I put both my bikes crammed all the way to on side. not in the middle. ald I put my 2x4 all the way at the front of the bed. Works well takes minimal ground space. ALso I added an extra 2x4 to one of the mounts to raise the bars of one bike a couple inches to get the handles bar heights different so that I could stick them super close together.

I've seen people do a similar design to this but the fork mounts are up on the toolbox, giving you some more space to work with if the box length is a concern.
