Thanks four forty. How confident are you in those numbers?
Was hoping to avoid pulling it out of the water this weekend to measure.
Which tower do you have? The ZFT7 is taller then the ZFT4.
I have a 12’ door at my shop, and my XStar fit under it with a ZFT7 on a MC trailer. There was a couple inches of room, and if you have a ZFT4 tower, you might get under a 11’6” door. I’d go 12’ or more to be safe.
Future boats won’t get smaller, so keep that in mind. Also, I’d recommend doing a minimum of a 10’ width.
so you're the lucky one's for sure, he has the vision for building great boats for certain!
Absolutely!! It’s a great boat and we’ve gotten a few compliments on it while on the lake. Quite a difference from our 01 X Star! And he’s been super helpful if we’ve had any questions.
Ztf7 sits higher than a ztf4. Low pro trailer vs. regular may also make a difference (not even sure if low pro is an option for the star).
Inwent through the garage door thing this spring. I had an 8’ door and had to raise it up to fit the new boat. I have an ‘18 with ztf7 and normal trailer. The boat on trailer with tower down is 103”.
I raised the door as high as I could, All I had room for was 9’...fits great, not much room to spare.
