I'm taking delivery of my 2020 x22 tomorrow and wanted to share some thoughts and reviews on it. I saw the boat at the dealer yesterday when it was being prepared and here are some initial thoughts on some of the new features for 2020.
The 6.2 liter motor has been improved, they all now have closed cooling and a bigger alternator among other improvements. The 6.2 liter motor is now standard on the x22 and x24 boats. Its not a "free" upgrade as the MSRP has jumped substantially to include this.
There are new sunshade options, a front sunshade (which looks really goofy) and a rear shade (less, but still goofy) IMO, that you can pop up. I got the rear shade so there is shade all the way to the back, in addition to the bimini.
The premium plus audio system with included 8 channel amp and additional speakers in the boat looks and sounds awesome! The dual screen dash is new to me and looks amazing!
There is some new Gen2 surf plus system with position sensors etc which is all suppose to work better, will try this out on the water and report back with pictures etc.
