I thought about ordering a tan interior in my XT22 but didn't want to hurt my resale in a few years if the tan interiors aren't popular anymore. Is that likely? I don't know.

I'd be really interested to know why the brown interiors are still sitting on lots.

me personally, I think the tans looks alot more classier and kinda different that the white and grey that is done on 90% of the boats. I cant tell you how many compliments i get on my X23 because of the interior, that one of the first things people say about the boat.

I’ve talked to my dealer about this quite a bit. He always says it’s the women who don’t like the brown tone interiors. He did sell my x23 with beach tan quite easily. I think the tan is such a love it or leave it option. There are people that hate it, not many people hate varying tones of grey (except for me).

My x23 has a black hull and breach tan with a teak swim deck. I got so many compliments on that boat.

Yes sir. Odessa Coconut. Was going to do cool feel coconut, but thought “the brown interior would look better if the brown looks more like leather”....

I’m kinda kicking myself on days that are in the high 90s if the wind is down. It gets a bit hotter than the black cool feel.

That said, I brought an infrared temp gun out with me a couple weeks ago on a nice calm day with the sun blaring. Results were-

          Black Cool feel- 126 degrees
          Odessa Coconut- 148 degrees
White vinyl in my Marker One- 171 degrees
Light gray vinyl in my buddy’s G23- 174 degrees

A couple other friends at the sandbar also. one moomba, and one Supra with chill-tech.
The Moomba vinyl was 180. The chill tech in the Supra (brown) was 159?!?!?

The chill tech is not like cool feel. It’s texture is more like normal vinyl, except really soft and really thin feeling. I don’t really get it....... cuz it wasn’t very cool either. Only 10-15 or so degrees cooler than the regular vinyls I checked.

Is the Odessa material more of a traditional vinyl?

I do agree, the tans look alot better when they look like leather. The cool feel tans just look different.

I agree it definitely seems to be a love it or hate it colour, personally I love it as does my wife so if/when we get a new boat will be going that route. Also like the teak swim deck and plan on switching to one this winter.

LOVE the cool feel tan seats. 4 out of 5 on average prefer this color over others. Ran a little poll before ordering to get feelers and majority went for this. At least where I'm at, I cannot imagine this will hurt resale. Can't get enough of this x22 what an amazing job they have done with this new boat!

Any feedback on new tab system yet? Just want to confirm consistency of surf wave after stopping many times and maybe hitting reverse for a couple seconds for example. I still struggle with mine. We don’t make a habit of using reverse ever for safety and really screws up tabs.

I really wish MC would put out a software update to not try to reset the tabs when you go in reverse. Even if the new tabs are improved I still wouldn't want to hear them crank up and down every time I do a quick reverse bump when I'm picking up riders. Only reason I can think of they do this is if there is a sinking danger if you go hard reverse with the tabs down. I've learned to pickup surfers without using reverse and have had 0 issues with my tabs getting out of whack but when folks drive for me they don't always remember and I find myself checking them. At least give us a menu setting where we can control this. Spent too much money on a boat to have to constantly try to outsmart it.

                      Couldn’t agree more.

I'm guessing (but I'm not an engineer) that it isn't about the boat sinking if those tabs are down in reverse. I think they can get damaged. Those actuators push the tabs down. I'm not sure they are designed to get "pulled" if you get my meaning. Curious what others think.

Retract tabs at all times while the cruise is not locked in.......

Take off, cruise locks in, tab deploys.
Rider falls, let off throttle, tab retracts.

Better steering to get your rider. Better tab position accuracy each pull. Less wear on the tab actuators.

                            Just my opinion......

That said- the 2020 system is working absolutely awesome. Perfectly accurate positioning every single time, and also moves to 100% accurate positions even while changing under way.

This new system dials in exact position of the tab to an accuracy of .05”. It is way more accurate than it needs to be, and it is a glorious setup.

I agree and reversing with a rider in the water scares the sh!t out of me.

the chill tech vinyl is made by the same manufacturer as the vinyl that MC uses...but the texture is what helps keep it cool, so I am not surprised by the results.
