  • XT22 Garage Length

Kicking tires on a newer boat and have garage constraints to factor in the decision. The garage has 8'/10' doors so most should fit through but the interior length is 23'6" so that is my main limiting factor. I have an X15 and it sits nicely with the tongue in and platform folded down. I'm looking at xt21s, xt22s and possibly SAN 210s (rather stick to MC, Nauti dealer is fn far but they are nice).

I'm mostly confident the XT21 should fit give it has the same dimensions as the X15 but am worried the XT22 might just be a hair too long.

Does anyone know the garage length of the 22 with the tongue in and platform at max fold?

    Thanks

I have mine in a 24' and with the platform and the tongue folded I have room to spare.

I have 27' inside dimension, and my XT22 fits with the platform in place. I'm sorry it's not in my house garage now (it's at my shop) and I don't know how much room there is to spare, nor do I know the exact length of the platform.
          Prior boats - (3) X14's, (3) Prostars, and a Tristar.

Thread U-Turn: For a MC I've decided that XT21 is the way to go and have one I'm eyeing.

My "local" Nauti dealer has a SAN 210 that is in the right $$ range with good colours, options and lots of warranty left.

Does anyone have experience with the SAN 210's people capacity and storage? Our x15 is juuust the right size for us. It's usually just the 4 in our family but we travel very very un-lite because we go out for large chunks of the day and thus take items for every conceivable permutation .

Given that would the SAN be a let down capacity wise?

Good call. The XT 21 will feel a little tighter than the X15. The XT22 will feel just a little bigger.

For sure. They had both side by side at the boat show and I could tell the xt21 was noticeably smaller than the x15. Have a deposit on xt22 now.

This is really interesting. I almost bought an XT21 sight unseen because I assumed it was a resurrected X15 hull which I thought was huge. I ended up with an XT22. Family would not have been thrilled after having an X25.

It was most obvious in cabin width but felt smaller overall and even in storage. As a test I laid along the back bench of the xt21 and there was very little room left past my head and feet whereas in the X15 and 22 there is plenty (I'm 5'11"). It isn't a small boat, just smaller.

I did have a chance to measure the boat at the storage shed and with the platform, tabs and tongue folded it measures at 280 inches or 23.33 feet.

I have a brand new xt22 over tower boat cover that I would like to sell (for those that are ordering new boats right now...you could skip the cover, buy this one and save some cash. Cover is black, over tower, includes poles, and is brand new in the box. Speced for a zft4 tower and regular windshield. $900 shipped to your door (pm me if interested)
