Great minds. Below is X22 @ 34mph no ballast 3 crew. No center tab, but could likely knock down some of the prop wash. Have not hung up the slalom ski just yet.

Hallelujah to that. We’re skiing Schweitzer Pres Day. You around?

yeah, but I will have an 18 month old and a 3 year old that day.

Weather up here has been in the 40's, not much snow, the ski season has been a bust. Was at Schweitzer the other weekend and they were out with chainsaws cutting off stumps that were sticking up.

Will start with this season for now. I’ve done the round trip twice in the past and while all went well no issues, it felt like Russian Roulette in remote parts of the West. I carry a rolling garage of tools and backup gear with the notion that it is all about self-sufficiency and avoiding evasive maneuvers. No way I could handle 16 hours straight through, usually stop after 10 hours day 1 and make day 2 a bit easier.

You make a good point, the long haul is the only explanation we have for two boats. Dumb financial move but feels like way lower safety risk. First world.

Tow rig is solid with 6.2L, heavy tow kit (hd brakes, controller, trans cooler, dumbo mirrors), plus rear airbags and locking metal tonneau for gear. The MC low profile trailers are also bombproof and the new trailer has electric brakes.
