EEC, below are a few pics per your 2020 electric brake actuator questions.

Below pic from our 2020 X22 business end of the trailer.

Below from 2020 actuator brochure, not sure yet which model of Hydrastar, will try to check. Guessing HBA/MHBA-16 which is spec’d for Hydraulic Discs?

Below is 2015 surge brake actuator hitch end, not sure it could be converted to electric over hydraulic without some major surgery. Your 2018 may be totally different.

Does the electric actuator coupling use a 2” or 2-5/16” ball on your X22 trailer?

didn't realize MC started putting electric brakes on their trailers from the factory. Guess that puts the whole "boat trailers shouldn't have electric brakes cause they go into water" thing to bed.
I was actually going to order a Hydrastar electric upgrade kit for my trailer. I just don't really tow my boat around enough to justify the cost.
Found a few places that sell a complete 1600psi kit for disk brakes for around $700, without a new coupler.
I've checked out other forums, most people seem to just drill through their trailer coupler and frame and put a couple grade 10 bolts through it to lock the coupler in place.

MCOR, Mastercraft Colorado confirmed that this X22 and the larger boats and triple axles that spec the 2 5/16”.

Proedge, I’ve since seen similar retrofits you describe where a few through bolts convert the surge actuator to fixed then the wired electrical brake actuator is added. May consider doing this to a 2015 setup later as the high alpine in CO engages the surge actuator too often on the descents. Note there are multiple specs for the electrical trailer actuator including single/dual axles, drum vs discs, and varying load weights.

PT thanks for the good words, for now keeping our enthusiasm tempered given the current bigger picture but hope to get the family out. In any other season the dry suit would have already been dunked.

            Cheers and good health all.

Thanks Moose! Ours is scheduled to be completed on April 20, but was informed MC will close for a week, so don't know now. I just want to have the right equipment to tow her home...

They're not technically electric brakes. They're electric over hydraulic. Instead of a surge actuator, there is hydraulic pump in the hitch that takes a brake signal from the tow vehicle and applies pressure to the hydraulic brake lines.

                    X22 - Had Me @ Hello

Took delivery and did a maiden splash this past Monday. She is decidedly a volumptuous brick house vs lean athlete, but she man handled crowded rough water like it was buttah. Too many boats out for watersports down in Denver so tomorrow we are taking her up to 8,200’ and cold water to break her in property.

The entire crew commented that it was one of the few afternoons these past several months that we were able to shed all anxieties.

Happy Memorial Day TT. A huge thank you to all who served and sacrificed for our freedoms.

Congrats. I love how clean the boat looks, the all white really looks sharp and makes the flake pop. I would also like to have some of that 65f as we are still at 49f ;-)

Have a great weekend and post some surf shots.

Man I'm really digging those exterior colors. The Tan interior is a favorite of mine.

                          Enjoy that beauty!
