Just installed the 3289 on 2021 X22, but have not surfed it yet. Top speed now at 41mph. Plenty of hole shot. Water temp still a bit too chilly for me to surf.

That's what I paid for my 3493 - 18x15.50 for my X24. Just got it last week and hope to report back on how it performs after the holiday weekend.

If our X22 stayed at CO altitude, especially at 8200’ at Lake Granby, we would run the 17.25 x 16.5. This prop may also be best for heavily weighted, full crew wakeboarding. We were getting roughly 6 GPM running 95% surfing, full ballast, light-medium crew so not bad.
MCOR, well done on this and the software upgrade stuff. We need to start an “Official X22 Thread” with pics and input tips.
Also thanks to Maniacmikes, aka Dr. Dialed, we also now have optimized X22 surf settings which I’ll post in said above thread.
**Edit, just saw the other thread on surf settings.

moosehead- You bring up a good question- I was wondering by the "High Alititude Prop" of 17.25 x 16.5 is seemingly smaller than the factory prop of 18x16 (which would in theory have a much better holeshot given larger diameter and numerically smaller pitch)- does anyone know?
I run the factory prop here at 5400' (though expect I'll take it up on occasion to 9000'+). The factory 18x16 is plenty for our altitude even with full ballast and a crew.

2020 X22 Prop Options
Correction: my OEM spec is OJ 843. Makes sense as this is for CO altitude. We hauled the X22 up to ID and she will live at 2100’.
Thanks to MM, swapped out this morning for the 3289. Perfect daily driver for us on the X22.
Dropped roundly 300-400 RP M’s across the power band and still had plenty of holeshot to pull my big behind around with full ballast plus lead. Surf RPM settled back into 3300 range, down from 3550+.
May be able to hit 40 MPH with a tailwind, which is moving for the big busted X22, and an added 4+ MPH at WOT.
As others note she ran a bit quieter.

Typically, on this boat I like the ACME 3493 – 18”x15.5”. Very similar RPM’s and top end speed, but better holeshot. However, if your goal is mainly to lower RPMs, I’d probably go with the ACME 3319 – 18x16 with .120 cup. That will lower RPM quite a bit, and still have good holeshot with the extra weight.
I’d be a little hesitant on the 3289 just because it is definitely more of a speed prop, but if you’re reading good things about it on the forum, it might be worth a try. It will definitely help lower RPM, just depends how much hole shot you’re willing to give up.
We offer a 30-day performance guarantee, so as long as you don’t damage the prop, you can swap it out.

I also don't think prop companies are used to people asking for less prop. They are probably used to people heavily loading their boats and wanting more low end pull - but that is not the issue with the X22/24/star for most people.

+1 to XC500, I’m spinning the stocker OJ 845 18x16 at 3500 rpm’s at surf speed 11.2ish with light-medium load, and 4400 RPM’s at cruise speed of 28mph. I’m also burning fuel quickly. Holeshot is not really a need for surfing IMO, but feathering up a surfer is needed with the 845 to prevent shoulder dislocation.
Feels like this prop is best suited to higher altitude, massive crews/loads, fully loaded wakeboarding, or maybe the biggest boats.
Thanks to ManiacMikes, he dropped off the 3289 for a trial run which feels like a great prop for the X22. Will report back. MM knows these boats like few others so whatever he recommends I’m doing.
