  • X24 surf tab actuator stuck then severed

So we were using the starboard side for surf and the tab on the port side got stuck in the fully deployed position and then came apart [emoji15]

Has this happened to anyone else?

    Has anyone fixed this themselves?

Yeah, thanks. I’m still happy with it but yes it’s been a rough start.

Yes. Mine did the same. There’s a set screw inside that backed out and came free on mine. Pretty easy to fix, but shouldn’t ever happen if Lenco used $.01 of threadlocker.

Fixed it myself, only burned myself a little on the manifold and cut my leg on something? [emoji2369]

I’m just happy to be back boating!! [emoji847]

Oddly, dealer charged me for the part because they said dockside didn’t put my name on the hull ID. I reached out to dockside to investigate how to resolve this.

This boat has been nonstop drama but we’re still enjoying it!!

We’re usually on the upper Willamette. Great looking boat, but you’ve been having some bad luck with it. Hope the rest of your season goes much better!

Thanks! Upper is nice, hope they put in new locks so we can take day trips up there on the water

Well now the other side got stuck [emoji13]

I’m working on getting the part to fix it but now I’m thinking maybe I should ask for the part to do the middle tab now too?

Anyone else have experience with this? It’s my understanding this is known issue with 19 model and they fixed it for 2020. I asked to get the upgraded 2020 part (HD actuator) but I’m told they aren’t compatible.

Has anyone else experienced this issue and is the middle tab likely to go out as well or just the sides?

I’d like to stress we’re still very happy with the boat and expect some issues when buying the first year of a new model.

Yep, it’s covered. I just do the work myself so I don’t have to wait.
