Ironically, I was just asking about this last night at the local dealership. I guess on the X22's, the actuators did change in 2020, so the software defaults for tab deployment for factory settings are different. You'd have to create custom profiles to mirror what your 2019's default settings were, if you are still using those.

Well I took a boat of all teenagers yesterday on the x22. A lot of fun, a couple of them picked up surfing in about 5-6 pulls.
We played with the wakeboard wake and wow. Only put 15% in the front KGB tank and 15% tab (everyone was sitting in the back (4 teenagers) @ 19 mph. We also got a good clean wake at 18.6 on both sides. The wake size was a bit big for teaching but good for a beginner level that has done it several times on a smaller wake. This was a good warm up for my son as it was his 1st time in the water due to COVID starting spring sports late. We had to put the rope from 50-60' with this speed and set up.
I will get some pictures next week when we were at Table Rock. I had tried to get a buddy of my sons to get some but they didn't turn out well due to rough water.
If anyone has some recommendations I'm all ears.

Finally getting to put some real hrs on the X22! Monster waves that are very firm. We had a full crew of 8 to 9 and wow, had to dump some ballast in the rear for one little kid and 1 newbie. Also noticed when surfing and had passengers sitting in the rear facing seats (Ranger said that if they were factory installed actual seat people could sit their while underway, defiantly state dependent) that we had to move some people to the bow, and just having a full crew it seemed to need some more weight or people in the bow. I only ran 100 lbs of lead in bow and 100lbs in rear. I just sold all the extra lead and only keeping 100 lbs total, just no need for it.
Wakeboarding wake is big even the beginner wake. The beginner wake is with no ballast crew of 8 could achieve a clean wake on both sides at 17.8. With a small crew I have added about 20% in the front tank.
Also only my 2nd time using a shallow flat ramp and its defiantly more challenging for me. I was a little gun shy as 4 years ago in Powel I had a little oopsy on a shallow ramp. I just ended up getting the boat half way on and winching it up the rest of the way as I had the wife slowly back in while I winch her up. Any advice?
Also Pics are coming.

I’ve searched a little and didn’t see any threads about this. I apologize if it’s been asked before.
We’ve got a 2020 X22 with 600# of lead in the boat. Symmetrically placed, 150# under each bag in the rear, and 150# under each bench seat. We use the standard “steep” wake setting, and we’ve had a lot of fun with it. (Gauge just turned 250 hours this weekend.)
Depending on how many people are in the boat, sometimes the swim platform will dig into the wave when there is a goofy footed surfer. My gut tells me that the wave would be improved if the swim platform were cut down a little so it isn’t the full width of the boat.
Does anybody have any experience with reducing the width of (or even removing) the swim platform?
Thanks,
TJ

I would try that before cutting down the platform and permanently modifying the boat.
Thanks,

90% of our people surf Goofy and get a great wave. You may move some weight to the front or remove some from the rear (I would remove weight from the rear), and add some center plate. A little bit of plat form in the water is not going to hurt.
What is your speed and tab settings?
