  • 600 lbs of lead evenly displaced should not sink the platform into the water when you ballast tanks are all the way empty. I would bet $100 your rear tanks are not empty. 99% of the time when I pull by boat out of the water I hit my over ride empty buttons and there is still a lot of water in the rear tanks. On your way back to the dock hit your empty buttons several times to get it all out.

I would not raise your platform without trying this first.

I dont have an x-22 but on our Star this is the case just about all of the time as well. There is usually 10-20% water still in the rear tanks when we pull off and I hit the override buttons.

I will leave it in there for the most part because we dont trailer very far but once a month or so I will empty completely and retime the fill/drain to get it a little more dialed in, if you have not done that recently then I would recommend.

I think part of the issue is not the drain times, but the bags don't drain all the way and then on the ride back to the dock the bags will empty into the tank after the pumps are done and then a little more when you get on the angle of the ramp.

        • I appreciate all the comments. I do wish there were a way to see what's in the tanks. As I mentioned, the boat lives in the water all the time, so I don't have the ability to play with the pumps with the boat on a trailer.

What is your speed and tab settings?
I've never messed with the profiles. We use the standard "steep" wave, I don't recall what the tab settings are. I'm pretty sure the speed is 10.8 for the goofy side.

Bump it up to 11.2, stock settings are just at starting point and then you can play with it from there up or down on the tabs and speed. Most have found that anything below 11 is too slow on this boat. Depending on the rider and what style or wave they want we run any where from 11.2 to 12, 30% to 45% port tab for goofy side wave and sometimes a little center plate. We save some custom profiles and for people and you have to adjust it just a tad depending on if you have a drastically different crew size or rough water can have an effect.

While riding around the lake hit empty several times as more water drains from the bags. If I were you I would also take out any extra weight you have in the rear lockers. Moose on here likes it as he typically only has 2 or 3 in the boat. I have found that the boat doesn't like too much weigh in the back when you have a crew of 5 or more.

Where should I send the $100?

She's now floating with the platform just slightly above the waterline. Thanks.

All the photos in this thread of new software are for a dual screen boat. What specifically will I gain on my single 7" screen boat by upgrading to the 2021 software? I'm kinda of the mind of if-it-ain't-broke-don't-fix-it. The 2020 software isn't perfect, but it's the devil I know. What's a reason to upgrade?

                          • Does anyone know the stock ballast timers for fastfill on a X22? I changed mine and didn’t take a pic of the stock timers to go back. I could factory reset, but afraid I’d lose the custom wave profiles. Any help?

I have the 7" screen, and the automatic volume control is worlds better than it originally was. Set to 4 or 5, and it works beautifully. As soon as you get into the throttle on launch, volume bumps up significantly, then ramps up further as you get to speed. When the surfer falls and you pull out of the throttle, drops way down so you can have a conversation. The old software was horrible.

My buddy, who has an MB, asked me the other day... "did you change something this year? The volume control is sweet!".

Woo hoo!!!! This is the one thing I was hoping would be improved. Thanks. I'm gonna head down to my boat and update right now. Thanks.
