2007 Prostar and 2008 prostar

I have a 2008 Prostar 197 Team tournament boat with a mini tower.. I need to replace the boat cover and am loooking at evolution covers. I need to find out if the 2008 with mini tower is the same boat as the 2007 Prostar with mini tower. Evolution has a pattern for a 2007, but not a 2008. I tried contacting Mastercraft,but that hasn't worked do far.

My experience with Cory (Evolution) was that his template is for the boat model, and he asks for measurements to confirm tower location, then tweaks the pattern of the cover accordingly. Mine on my Malibu fit like a glove - outstanding work. I expect his 2007 template is exactly the same as your 2008, so you should be in good shape.

Mastercraft changed the tower design on the 2008 PS 197. It is not the same as the 2007. The mounting points might be close but definetly not the same.

The boat in the driveway has a 2007 tower. The boat in the shop has 2008 tower.

Thanks for the information. Other than the towers, the boat design and dimensions are the same? The hull design is the same?

Yep. No change to the Prostar 197 hull dimensions from 2001 to 2013? 2014? Whenever the new Prostar came out.

Prostar replaced Prostar 197 in 2014. And I agree, no changes in hull that would affect the cover.

Yes boat is the same and Corey does great work he has made 2 for me and both fit like a glove.

Until you posted this I'd have said the mini changed in '07. But you're right, the new full sized tower came out in 07, and the mini was redesigned in '08 to match it, iirc.
