This is a Fun story to follow.

Reminds me of my trip from Burlington, VT to Tucson with an X25 in tow including stops at the Albany Airport and White Sands National Monument. Talk about getting strange looks...

Day 2: first order of business is to secure a proper tow vehicle. If you have been truck shopping recently, you know the truck market is almost as crazy as the boat market- so I felt lucky to find this one owner, low-mileage, dealer serviced rig; for what I feel like is a very fair price.

It’s even got the heated and cooled seats, which should be nice for the long drive- much better than hauling it home in a U-Haul for sure.

It will go up for sale once I get home, but for now- this is my home on wheels.

I love stories like this.

I did Las Vegas to St. Paul through the Rockies with a U-Haul. This was at Wolf Creek Pass, Colorado, after stopping to visit my sister in Durango. Flew out one way, trailed back. This was September 29th, 2014. Boat is a 2007 X15. Great trip!

I've never heard of someone who buys a boat across the country and then flies there buys a truck and tows it home only to sell the truck once he gets home...... This is awesome!

I can't wait to see pictures from all the meet and greets along the way. Hopefully some will allow you to surf on their lakes as you transit across our great homeland. Might make for a longer trip, but what a story.

Hopefully some TT members will get pictures of your travels. First one in each state to spot him post a photo.

If you take the really long route through Virginia let me know. If I'm off we can surf my lake (Water was 55f yesterday and warming fast.)
