Has anyone experienced a boat go into "protection mode" and throw codes because they had too much weight in the boat with PP running?

The following are the codes I get:

M81 not tracking- active TAC malf
    M81-TAC (TACMALF) - active

I have replaced the PPS, the TAC module, the throttle body assembly, and the entire PP system. I am also running a 15x13 OJ prop.

Everything runs perfect in all conditions until the boat is weighted heavy.

I have been fighting with this for a year now and ready to throw in the towel.

Have you checked or replaced plugs, wires, distributor cap?
Screws fall out all the time, the world is an imperfect place.

My 05 mcx was doing the same thing. I changed the map sensor, temp sensor, knock sensor, plugs, wires and distributor and rotor and problem solved. If I had to guess though it was the map sensor. It was gummed up a bit.

Still no luck getting this figured out.

Problem is, the two codes I am getting do not have any troubleshooting steps. And still only happens when perfect pass is engaged.

I have replaced everything too, and still persists.

The DTC troubleshooting for the codes I am getting only say that there is a disagreement between "commanded throttle" and "actual throttle". I have monitored it while underway when the codes are thrown and cannot see an issue with values presented for either. The boat is also not working too hard. Throttle plate is running around 48%

When is the last time you cleaned your K&N air filter. Might want to look at that if it’s dirty. Take it off and hold it up to the sky and you should see light coming through it.

Okay so my 05x2 with the MCX is now doing this but only when surfing on the regular side maxed out with weight and running 2 suckgates. Goofyside wave it does not cut out and go into limp mode no matter how much weight i use. I do feel the engine has to work harder for the regular side wave and you can definately feel the extra drag in the steering wheel. After I dropped 400 pounds of weight it would not do it again on the regular side. I think its something to do with the map sensor. Im going to try to figure out what reading the map sensor puts out that will throw the ecm into limp mode.

Thinking I need to buy this programmer so I can modify the parameters a bit.
The OBD2allinone pc scan tool to turn off the check engine light on OBD2 cars and trucks is made and sold by OBD Diagnostics Inc. Our automotive diagnostic tools can read and log any obd check engine code data.

So, mine had only done it previously when weighted heavily until last weekend. It did it once for me when I was pulling an 8 year old wakeboarding with no ballast filled.

I have replaced everything possible, to include the MAP sensor and it has not fixed it.

I have mefiburn diagnostic software and have had it running when it has happened. The throttle plate is only at 46-48%. I do not think the boat is working too hard.

The trouble codes that I am getting do not have any specific troubleshooting steps. The issue is that the "commanded throttle" is different from the "actual throttle". I wonder if there is a way to adjust the parameters to allow for a bigger discrepancy between the two. I think that would fix it.
