I haven't seen any threads on this subject so I'm going to make one. We're starting to get serious about pulling the trigger on a new boat, so naturally one of the top places to check out on my list was my MC dealer. I've always liked the XT23, but I feel like it's lacked surf capability compared to some of it's rivals. Hopefully that's about to change.
While I was there, I was informed that a new XT23 is on the way for the 2022 model year along with a new XT24. The 23 is still a traditional bow while the 24 will be a picklefork. They also told me a new XT22 will come a little later next year. I can't comment on the 20, 21, or 25. A new surf system is also being introduced called "Surf Star." Apparently this new system keeps a similar tab design but uses new actuators. They predict that the new boats will be more focused on surfing than the outgoing models while still offering decent ski capabilities.
My dealer is one of 5 that gets the boats early... I will get to see the new XT23 (and I think the XT24) on Saturday. I have the option of riding behind it next week but I'll be in Powell... dadgumit.
I'll keep this thread updated with my findings.
